Cristen — Her Story
November 9, 2009This is Cristen. I was going to say meet Cristen but if you have been following my blog for a few years, then you already know her or at least have seen her. Cristen has cancer. To be more specific, she has colon cancer. When she asked me to document her journey/fight against cancer while she “lives” with cancer I agreed but thought I would only blog or share the images from the family portrait sessions. Well, Cristen told me to blog them all because “this is what cancer looks like.” So, I am going to share some images first from her second chemo treatment. This is her second round of chemo as her cancer came back. She is amazing. I mean absolutely amazing. She laughs openly and freely and smiles. She has so much hope and faith. That when I leave her I feel better and hopeful about what ever petty thing is going on in my life. I am hoping that sharing these will help someone else. There will be more pictures as take more.

Adam and Marah Graduated – Class of 2009
June 17, 2009My oldest and best friend, Teresa (yes, her name is Teresa too. But, I am Teresa #1 and she is Teresa #2) has two wonderful kids. She has done an awesome job raising them. Well, last weekend, they both graduated from high school. I had to be there. So, I decided to document this very special day for them. This is their graduation story. Ironton, Ohio Dance and Team Pictures – Cyndi’s Studio

Shannon and Devon — The Wedding
January 6, 2009Devon and Shannon were married on New Year’s Eve. They picked a great day to get married. Not only did they get to start the New Year out as man and wife but it was also mine and husbands 14th wedding anniversary. Yes, that means I was working on our anniversary but it’s all good. October 2, 2008Kaila and Joe were married last weekend. It was supposed to rain according to the weather service. Fortunately, it did not and the sun came out and made for a beautiful day and a colorful sunset. It was great spending time with Kaila’s family again and meeting Joe’s family and their friends. Jerome and Lalicia — The Wedding
May 26, 2008Jerome and Lalicia got married on a beautiful day in a beautiful church, Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Huntington, West Virginia. Everything was perfect including the bride and groom. It was such a pleasure to be with them and their families on this very special day. The day was filled with emotion and tears. Auntie BeBe: Lic and Rome, I had just an awesome time at the wedding. What awesome taste you all have. I found it an honor to be able to decorate the wedding for you and that you the faith and confidence in me to even do your hair on that very special day. I just wanted you to be the most beautiful person at the wedding for you are such a beautiful woman anyway. Rome, all I can say about you is that YOU ARE JUST FINE MAN. WOO!!!
