Last Thursday, March 5, 2009 the brave men and women of the 201st EN BT Kentucky National Guard unit came home. There were at least 3,000+ people there to welcome them home and I had the honor of trying to capture the emotions and some of the reunions as a member of Operation Love Reunited. The energy that this crowd exuded was contagious. I found myself getting as excited as the women that I was following. I found myself waiting for the cell phone updates on their route and locations. It was amazing to me to see all of these families united in one common bond. The love they have for their soldiers and the desire to have them home and in their waiting arms. I am still in awe and proud. To view the slide showsclick here and click here, let the slide shows load. Here are a few of my favorites.
