Operation Love Reunited

July 29, 2007

I just joined an amazing organization called Operation Love Reunited.  Being prior service Air Force I am both excited and honored to have been accepted to be a part of this awesome mission to give back to those still serving in the military.  To learn more click on this logo:

Day 3 – and we are off.  We have a full day in front of us.  Gotta hit three parks

But there is always time for a photo moment in front of our pool

First Park: MGM Disney Studio

After Star Tours, you have to fly

The meet Mike and Sully

No visit to MGM Disney Studios is complete for a wannabee teen girl without going to the High School Musical Pep Rally.

On to Epcot:

Nemo’s World

Going into the Around the World area for our dinner with the Princesses

Our dinner on this day was with 5 Disney Princesses.  Belle, who greeted us at the door, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Cinderella.  During the meal, they all walked around the tables to meet and do pictures.

Connor thought Cinderella’s dress was the prettiest and said he was going to tell her when she came to our table.  Well, he couldn’t find the words and muttered “my turtles name is Connor.”  So here is Cinderella checking out his turtle.

So after this, we were exhausted.  We went back to our room to rest so that we could head back out to Magic Kingdom for the Electric Light Parade and the Fireworks

The last day was spent at Downtown Disney for some shopping and lunch at Planet Hollywood.

We stopped at Goofy’s Candy Store First

And made a few friends.

We had so much fun that we are already planning for a return trip next year to see so much that we didn’t get to see and do this year.

Teresa Dick: I absolutely love the Disney pics of your family! The crazy mirror was great! Looks like you all had so much fun! You will have to come over and tell me about it!

Bryan: What kind of camera do you use?

Back From Vacation

July 28, 2007

OK, in case no one noticed, we are back from vacation and I have been hard at work editing a few sessions and weddings.  Well, I finally uploaded our vacation pictures on Wednesday and yesterday (Friday) I was able to go through and pick out a few to share.  We went to DISNEY WORLD. We had so much fun.  We stayed on the resort, an absolute must if you ask us.  It was awesome.  I can do nothing but rave about the whole trip.  From beginning to end it was so totally stress free for us all.  The only glitch was the trip home.  Our plan was delayed in the Orlando airport for six (6) hours.  We did not fly out until after 2 am.  Needless to say we were exhausted.  But it was a really good flight.  So now on to some pictures.

Day 1: We stayed at the All-Star Music resort.  It was fabulous.

Then we took a bus to Magic Kingdom.  Connor was too excited.

And we arrive.  A first for the kids and I.

It was so much more than expected.  Well of course then reality sets in that it is HOT! And our preteen is reaching her point.  Can you say “attitude.”

On the way out of Magic Kingdom:

Day 2: We go to Animal Kingdom, early.  It was not as hot.

We saw the Lion King

And all kinds of animals and people.

Then it was off to MGM Disney Studios.  We had dinner reservations (if you go, get reservations for dinner every night) at the Sci-fi Dine-In Restaurant.

Sunset on the end of day 2 at our resort.

More to follow in the next post.

Gone Fishing!!!!

July 13, 2007

OK not literally, but I am taking a small break from work.  I will be enjoying time with my family for the next week.  Have fun and I will be blogging lots of vacation pictures when I return (if not during the vacation because you just never know:) ).

Ivan Watkins: For a minute there I thought you were to embark on a great thing (Fishing). If you haven't tried it then go ahead, grab a pole and drop a line into the water and experience the therapeutic affect that it can have. Try some night fishing to while you're at it...
