Newport Aquarium

March 31, 2008

This weekend we took the kids to the Newport Aquarium in Newport, Kentucky.  It was a great time and the kids loved it.  Here are some of my favorite pictures from that day.

Feeding the Lorikeets

This shot is for Mr. Pulliam.  This pythons head was huge.

The diving show

These are the smaller, safer sharks.

The Shark Petting Tank.

And lastly, the final exhibit before you exit to the gift shop was the Penguins.

If you are in the Cincinnati area and get a chance.  Cross the Ohio River and check out the museum.  We had fun.

Ivan Watkins: Looks like you, your hubby and babies had a really good time. I've found that each time I go out with my family have a struggle. Do I leave the camera at home and enjoy my family and the outing? Or? Do I take the camera, capture the precious memories but risk getting caught up in "taking photos" mode. Loved the pictures.. Cincinnati, Ohio

March 30, 2008

In celebration of Spring break we took a quick trip to Cincinnati, Ohio. We spent the night at the Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati Covington, KY.  There was a mix up with our reservation so to compensate us they gave us a room on the river.  The view was awesome!  Here are few pictures of Cincinnati from just across the river.  The sun was already setting when we arrived so I took a few shots before it became totally dark.

And then once the sun was gone.  The lights from the bridges on the river were so pretty.

Then I took woke up early enough to catch the sunrise.  Amazing!

Air Force Museum

March 29, 2008

This week I had the opportunity to visit the National Museum of the USAF with my daughter on a field trip.  Being so close to the base, any Air Force base, brought back so many memories for me.  We had fun and I had the chance to tell my daughter about my Air Force days.  Here are a few pictures from our day at the museum.

Got married on Saturday.  To view their pre-view slide show click here.  It was a snow free day, unlike their engagement session but they still had brave some chilling temperatures after sun started to set.  What a great couple.  Here are a few of my favorites.  It was hard narrowing them down to my normal 10 images so this post is a little bit bigger.

Are getting married in a few weeks.  We already had their engagement session scheduled when the snow storm hit.  They were still willing to do their session in the snow.  To view their slide show click here. To view their online gallery click here.  Here are a few of my favorites.

paige stevens buchbinder: T - these are great! Best e-session ever. LOVE the snow.

You may recognize Scott’s pictures from a previous blog post.  Well, soldiers with the Kentucky National Guard’s 201st Engineer Battalion were deployed this week.  I had the honor as part of Operation Love Reunited to there to document this time in his life.  I will also be there when he returns to his family.  What an emotional morning but the memories I captured and the emotions I felt made it all worth it.  To view his memory slide show click here.  To view his gallery click here.  Here are a few of my favorites.
