My little brother got married on June 11, 2008 in Daytona Beach, Florida.  We couldn’t be there, so when he and his new wife, my new sister-in-law Melissa, came for a quick visit, I seized the opportunity to do a post wedding session with them and a family portrait of their new family.  They are so cute together.  To view their slide show click here. Here are some of my favorites.  You will notice a couple of familiar faces in at least one or two shots.  My kids had to jump into a few pictures with their new cousins.  Melissa has two kids, a boy and girl.  Maya was thrilled when she learned that there was another girl so she is no longer the only girl but really bummed when she found out we also added another boy.  So, she is still out numbered.  Oh well, she will adjust.

I couldn’t resist taking a picture of Connor.  Actually he asked.  Since my kids rarely ask me to take their pictures or sit still for me to take their pictures, when I have a chance, I go for it.  He looks so much older but he is still my baby.

Congratulations you two!  And Melissa, welcome to the family.

Kamilah and Damola got married on June 14, 2008 and it was a great day for a wedding.  Several of Damola’s family member from Nigeria even flew in for the wedding.  It was a great day with lots of tradition on both sides of their families.  After the cake cutting and bouquet toss, both Damola and Kamilah changed in their Nigerian clothing that Damola’s mom had made for them.  I loved the textures and designs.  To view their preview slide show click here. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from their day.

The Little League Softball 2008 season is officially over.  The only thing left is All-Stars and tournaments. I have some of the pictures from this year online.  You can see them here.  This is mostly for “Heat” parents.

John and Jessica were married last weekend in Pikeville, Kentucky.  The ceremony and reception took place at the East Kentucky Expo Center.  It was beautiful.  Fresh flowers were every where. The ballroom, which was decorated by Michelle of Signature Events in Pikeville, Kentucky, smelled wonderful and the table center peices were amazing.  It was a beautiful day filled with lots of love and tears.  To view their preview slide show click here.  This preview is large so allow time for the show to load.  If you have a slow internet connection, click on the symbol that looks like a magnifying glass in the lower right corner.  That will give you a lower resolution version of the slide show.  As you watch this show you may recognize several of the faces from this wedding.  Here are a few of my favorites.

I had help photographing this wedding.  My friend, the super talented, Heather King drove down from Marysville, Ohio to help me cover this wedding.  She was wonderful.  Thank you Heather.

Those who follow my blog will recognize everyone in this picture.

I photographed Kim and Jacob’s wedding in October 2007.  I am going to photograph Brooke and Brad’s wedding in August 2008.  And of course you see the bride and groom, Jessica and John.  They are great group.  These young ladies have been friends since kindergarten.  I hope my kids are as blessed as these ladies.  It is truly a blessing to have friendships like theirs, the kind that lasts a lifetime.
