Wedcomp08 – Winter2008

September 30, 2008

It is that time again.  Wedcomp08 is accepting images for the Winter 2008 competition.  If you want to learn more about Wedcomp click on the picture and check it out and enter.  I plan to enter again.

Recently, I had the pleasure of taking pictures of Michael and his family before he deployed.  I did this as part of Operation Love Reunited.  However, this was not my first time photographing this family.  Well, at least the adults in the family as I photographed Michael and Jennifer’s wedding two years ago.  This was however, the first time I met little Evan and I must say he is quite the charmer.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Savannah and Deuce were married last weekend at the picturesque Heritage Farm Museum.  It was a hot, sticky and humid day but wow, what a great sky and sunset.  To view their preview slide show click here.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Do You Facebook?

September 13, 2008

I have a facebook account and have had it since December 2006, I think.  It is seriously neglected I am ashamed to say, but hey, I have been a busy girl.  Even with being busy as an excuse, I have not been a good facebooker (is that even a word?).  So, I am trying to get mine updated and wanted to know, “do you facebook?” If you do, add me as a friend and then become a fan.  I have even become a member of the facebook blog network.  Check out my page here.  Look through my photos and if you see yourself or your friends, tag them.  I think that is how it works.  But I could be wrong.  It has been known to happen.  So, thanks in advance and have a great weekend.  I am off to photograph Savannah and Deuce’s wedding at the rustic and beautiful Heritage Farm Museum.  The rain held off or passed us by, not sure which but it is a beautiful day.

Matt and Brandi — The Wedding

September 11, 2008

Matt and Brandi were married this past weekend.  The day started out overcast and dreary.  Not what a bride hopes for on her wedding day, but just before I was scheduled to arrive to start pictures the clouds parted and we had blue skies.  Absolutely beautiful skies.  They were married at First Baptist Church of Ashland.  I love photographing weddings in this church.  If for no other reason but the room that ladies usually choose to get dressed.  It is beautiful.  They had a classic car for the get away.  I love classic cars.  To view their preview slide show click here.  Here are a few of my favorites.  I have more favorites than I normally show but as is the trend lately, I am having a hard narrowing them down and since it is my blog and I make the rules; I can post as many images as I like.  So, I did.  I just decided that:).  To Brandi and Matt’s families, thank you so much for everything.  I had so much fun.

Kim Schultz: Hi Teresa, I just want to Thank You again for such a wonderful job that you have done and the pictures are beautiful. Everyone enjoyed working with you, and Brandi and Matthew love you and your work. I will be getting with you soon, I was exhausted! Sincerely, Kim

Jabari and Shanee are getting married April 2009.  We met on Saturday morning and they followed me to Lake Vesuvius in Ironton, Ohio.  As we approached the entrance it stared to rain.  I thought, “oh no.”  I could almost feel Shanee cringe in the their car.  But I was not going to let the rain stop us.  I reassured them that we would still do this and I pulled out the umbrellas that I keep in the back of my car and said “let’s wait a few minutes.”  What a great couple.  They waited and we chatted.  We started in the rain and got a few cute umbrella shots.  I can now check that off of my list of things I want to photograph.  We laughed pretty much the whole time.  It was much more humid after the rain than before but they endured it.  They even wore sweat shirts at the end for the alma maters and still laughed and joked.  It was hot.  Too hot for sweat shirts but they did it and it was so cute.  I can not wait to photograph their wedding in April.  Oh and Shanee is Lalicia’s cousin.  Lalicia and Jerome were married in May of this year.  During the reception Shanee told me that when she gets married she wanted me to photograph her wedding.  She was not engaged at that time and we both thought we had a couple of years before this happened.  Well, she did not know it but Jabari already had her ring at that time and was planning to pop the question.  Image my surprise when I got the call a few months ago to photograph her wedding.  I love it when life works like that.  I loved hanging out with their families and am really looking forward to spending another wedding day with them all.  To view their slide show click here.  Here are a few of my favorites.

You have to love a guy who will act like this for a picture.  You just have to.  See why we laughed the whole session.
